Australian Flooring Supplies (AFS) in Victoria
As you all know, the State Government of Victoria has announced tighter lockdown measures in metropolitan Melbourne. The primary motive for this is to reduce the movement of people, in an attempt to halt the spread of COVID-19.
Most retails outlets will close, schools and some manufacturing and industries are impacted.
In considering all the advice available QEP has determined to close all its Victorian warehouse & trade centre facilities for the duration of the lockdown period, effective from close of business tomorrow Wednesday 5th August. What does this means for our customers:
AFS Victoria Trade Centres
The four AFS Melbourne trade centres in Mitcham, Dandenong, Hoppers Crossing & North Melbourne will be closed for the six weeks of lockdown.
Accessory Supplies forward orders
Our sales representatives are in regular contact with all Victorian customers to offer assistance with the supply of products for any major projects. We will have the ability to arrange essential deliveries with advance notice during the lockdown period.
Regional Victoria customers
The current fortnightly delivery runs arranged in a number of regional areas will still take place & your local AFS representative will be in contact to discuss your needs.
Flooring product stocks
All orders will be fulfilled in the normal manner – we have extensive stocks of all our ranges available in our Brisbane & Sydney distribution centres.
AFS Administration Services
All administration functions including customer service, finance & purchasing remain in place & unaffected. These departments have been effectively working from home for several months now
With regard to all customers outside Victoria, our operations in Queensland, New South Wales & South Australia remain unchanged. Our distribution centres & AFS trade centres outside metropolitan Melbourne are well stocked & ongoing supply is completely unaffected.
We thank all our valued customers for the support you give to AFS & trust you understand the unfortunate need for us to have to take these actions. However, we do believe we have a strong & robust plan in place & look forward to reinstating the Victorian part of our operations in six weeks time.
